Full hookup RV camper site with electric, water, sewer, pull-through camp site, fire pit / grill, picnic table, and trash bin provided. Peaceful, secluded area perfect for star gazing.

Stockton Lake

With 25,000 acres and 300 miles of shoreline, pristine Stockton Lake is the area’s main attraction. Visitors water ski, scuba dive, sail, swim, fish, and compete in fishing tournaments.  

Stockton Lake in Missouri was recently rated as one of the top ten sailing lakes in the country by SAIL Magazine

Fish off piers and banks for bluegill, catfish, large and smallmouth bass, and walleye. Fish guiding services also available.

Trails

Want to unwind in nature?

Trails for hiking, mountain biking, running, horse back riding, and kayaking are nearby. The closest hiking trails to the cabin are near Greenfield at Hulston Mill Trail and Corry Branch Glade as well as the three trails at Stockton State Park. Our property is bordered by a short trail to a 1800s-era cemetery. See our trail guide.

Hunting

Feeling like a sportsman?

Waterfowl, dove, deer, and turkey hunting are allowed on public land surrounding the lake during hunting season. Much of the surrounding lake area is public land managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; the total area is 61,000 acres and includes Stockton Lake State Park. Fishing

Ready to reel them in?

Stockton Lake is host to some of the largest fishing tournaments in the Midwest. If you don’t have a boat, you can still fish off piers and banks for bluegill, catfish, large and smallmouth bass, and walleye. Fish guiding services are also available in the area. Is a day on the water your escape?

Stockton Lake is named as a top ten sailing lake in the country and the best sailing lake in the Midwest due to smooth waters and consistent wind speeds. The Lake Stockton Yacht Club and Stockton Sailing School, both renowned establishments, are located near Stockton. Culture

Want some history, art or education?

The Civil War-era Hulston Mill is located near Greenfield and features a walking trail. See our history guide for the area, including two 1700s cemeteries adjacent to the cabin, ancestral research, the Greenfield Opera House, and the picturesque Caplinger Mill Bridge. An art trail at the Stockton Lake Dam features sculptures, and Naturecation is an education-based trail for kids.

Looking for land adventures?

Rentals of pontoons, fishing boats, speed boats, kayaks, and jet skis are available in season from the marinas at Mutton Creek, Stockton Lake State Park, and Orleans Trail. Feeling like a sportsman?

Stockton Lake has three marinas with full services such as gas, supplies, groceries, restaurants, boat rentals, boat slips, and fishing licenses. The closest two marinas are Mutton Creek Marina and Stockton Lake State Park, with Orleans Trail and Resort Marina also easily accessible. See the link for more info.

Hungry after all that activity?

Dining options are as near as 2 miles from the cabin. Nearby Greenfield, Missouri, has several restaurants and other dining options such as take out and groceries. Two of the marinas on Stockton Lake have floating restaurants. The town of Stockton, Missouri, boasts a variety of eating establishments and coffee shops as well as a small-town shopping district.
