July 2022~

Continuous improvement is a goal and part of our mission of providing excellent customer service and a peaceful, relaxing retreat at Mutton Creek Getaway. Here are a few tidbits of news from the business side of things.

New beds
The master bedroom now has a new king bed, upgraded from a queen, with all new headboard, mattress with memory foam topper, bedding, and pillows.

The second bedroom also has a new hybrid memory foam queen mattress.

A new queen sofa sleeper for the living room is on back order and anticipated for September.

Other improvements include landscaping, an herbal garden pot, and a flag pole.

Superhost Status
We’re excited that we received Superhost status on AirBnb in just one season. Superhost requirements include hosting at least 100 nights with at least a 4.8/5.0 rating and cancelling out on the guests less than 1% of the time. We also appreciate all the kind, positive reviews! 🙂 Similarly, Vacation Rentals By Owner (VRBO) has deemed us a Premier Host. Thank you, VRBO guests, for the perfect 5-star rating!

Upcoming Lake Events
Fishing tournaments at Stockton Lake are coming up for late summer. Every weekend in August is currently booked at Mutton Creek Getaway, but some weekends in September are still available. With a full kitchen, living room, and comfortable bedrooms, our property provides a comfortable getaway for the whole family on tournament weekends. On site, there’s a firepit, board games, toys, puzzles, video games, movies, corn hole, a hammock, walking trail to an Civil War-era cemetery, and more.

Nearby, there’s a swimming beach, a playground, city pool, shopping, live entertainment, restaurants, and more. The No Wake Cafe’ floating restaurant at Mutton Creek Marina boasts a full line up of live music every Saturday night plus extra nights for the Labor Day Weekend.

Water levels and fishing are still good on Stockton Lake. For weather information, see this link. For lake levels, see this link.
